  • Scientifically (psychologically) structured sales copy
  • Graphics
  • Images
  • Video
  • Results (presentation not actual results)
  • Social proof
  • Strong guarantee
  • Highly relevant and complementary bonuses
  • And last but not least, a product that is highly relevant to what the customer is searching for (i.e. properly targeted traffic)

If you think that I just presented to you the most important factors for great sales copy, you are absolutely right. You see the customer only considers, experiences and judges the product after he buys.

So if the customer can only make a buying decision based on the sales copy, then as an affiliate, where/what should you focus on? Yes, the sales copy and marketing material of course.

Here is a bonus secret for you:

A bad product with a great sales copy way outsells a great product with even a mediocre sales copy!

Yes, the bad product will have a little more refunds but the reality proven by years of experimentation shows that people are too lazy to ask for a refund, even for a really bad product.

Make mo mistake, I am not asking you to promote bad products. I am telling you about human psychology and a physical limitation when it comes to online shopping (i.e. the customer never experiences the product until after purchase).

So your job as an affiliate is to pick products that have a realistic chance in the market place, that is those with great marketing material. It is the vendor’s responsibility to not only create a great product but also great material that effectively communicate the benefits and value of his product.

And if you are or will be a prduct vendor at some point, now you know that you must pay equal attention to your makreting material. Also understand this:

The skillset of producing a great product is very different from that of creating superb marketing material. Use the right professionals for the right job and you will succeed beyond your impagination. use the wrong skillset and failure is the only outcome.

Branding and Marketing Expert, President, Chris Brown Presents Three Internet Marketing Workshops at Annual Conference …

Three workshops; “How to Use Your Blog to Attract New Customers,” “Social Media Strategies that Market Your Business” and “Use Video to Improve Your Marketing Results,” were presented at the 15th annual NNEP Conference by Chris Brown.

The three workshops were “How to Use Your Blog to Attract New Customers,” “Social Media Strategies that Market Your Business” and “Use Video to Improve Your Marketing Results.” Each 90-minute session offered concrete tips and take away tools that attendees could quickly use to understand and participate in social media marketing for their business.

One workshop attendee from Michigan had this to say: “I attended two of Chris Brown’s workshops and I learned a lot. Now I just have to go home and start to practice.”

In the blogging workshop Brown explained how blogs allow a business owner to connect with their readers. A business blog provides the opportunity to tell a story, incorporate video and photos to demonstrate a point, and invite readers to share in the discussion or offer their opinion. Brown suggested that attendees start by reading blogs and joining in the discussion via the comment section. When a business professional is ready to start their own blog, is in important to determine their primary topic and the target audience they hope to engage. Many business owners find blogging to be an inexpensive, effective way to interact with potential customers or clients.

The video marketing workshop included six ways business owners use video to improve their marketing efforts. It included a hands-on session where owners created their own video for posting on the Internet. Attendees also learned about creating a YouTube channel for their business, incorporating a live link back to the primary company website and using key word phrases to assist with search engine results.

Creating a strategy for online marketing participation starts with determining what the business professional wants to accomplish. Once a goal is determined, the social media vehicles that will best achieve those goals are the ones to participate in regularly.
